Sandberg Development Group choose Tydab

We are currently in the middle of the project to upgrade GRANULDISK AB from AX 2009 to Microsoft Dynamics 365. The project marks the start of the collaboration between Tydab and the Sandberg Development Group, including GRANULDISK.

GRANULDISK – First in line for Dynamics 365

GRANULDISK is a company that has revolutionized the pot washing industry. The system reduces chemicals by using Granules, which contributes to a more environmentally friendly pot washing solution. The products are manufactured in Malmö and sold on a global market.

Some of the project goals focus on improved production efficiency and reduced lead times in the orders for the delivery process. A concrete example of value-adding functions in Dynamics 365 is the strong configuration functions that enables pre-assembly of machines, which reduces production lead time and errors.

GRANULDISK clearly focuses on leveraging the rich functionality in the Dynamics 365 standard application, taking advantage of the continous updates that come with Microsoft’s One Version program.

About Sandberg Development

Sandberg Development is a family-owned investment company consisting of the majority-owned companies Aimpoint, Gaim, GRANULDISK and RESCUE Intellitech and the minority-owned companies Camurus, ISEC, Orbital Systems and Swatab.

Sandberg Development’s overall goal is to develop and manage the assets that exist within the Group’s operations in order to create growth and positive value development for the Group.

The operations within the Group today have a diverse application structure. Existing business systems are in most cases out of date. The goal is to standardize the Group’s ERP applications and reduce the number of applications.

At present, several different suppliers within the operations are used for different partial deliveries, for example projects, support and licenses. The goal is to collaborate with one supplier for all companies and partial deliverie.

Nordiska Kompaniet launches e-commerce site in collaboration with Tydab

Nordiska Kompaniet (NK), one of Sweden’s most well known retail brands and department stores, recently opened their e-commerce. Behind the project are NK, Avensia and Tydab. The digital platform with Microsoft Dynamics 365 as base is built to reflect the physical department stores’ customer experience and means a common trading place for NK’s traders.

“Creating an e-commerce site for our customers and gathering our departments and retailers under NK’s brand has been an important project for us. Tydab’s understanding of the complexity of our business has therefore been valuable to us during the project, ”says Henrik Andreasson, CEO of NK.

As experts on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Tydab has implemented NK’s business system in which NK handle logistics, customer service and payments, among other things. Together with integrations with Avensia Storefront and a number of other systems, we have created a modern and scalable digital marketplace where NK, their retailers and not least their customers can meet.

“Firstly, I would like to to thank for the opportunity to deliver a unique solution, together with Avensia. The launch of the e-commerce site is well timed, as the market is moving towards on-line sales. We look forward to continue supporting NK on their digital journey “, says Fredrik Stenlund, Tydab.

NK’s e-commerce launches with NK Sport and will expand continuously with more departments.

Get ready for the October release of Dynamics 365

It’s time for wave 2 of the Dynamics platform and as usual it contains a large number of news and updates.

For Finance & Operations, this means improved view handling, configurable business documents, increased warehouse visualization and improved support for automatic testing using RSAT.

The autumn release also includes cross-functional improvements, mainly regarding the user experience in Finance and Operations apps, integrated with the Common Data Service and interact with the Power Platform. The Power Platform is also moving into Life Cycle Services for uniform support management.

This is Dynamics 365

When Microsoft replaced AX with Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations – enterprise edition it resulted in more than just a new system version. In fact it was the starting point for an all new business platform that thanks to the new data model can share, analyze and consume information across Dynamics applications that now inhabit the platform.

In addition to the familiar  D365FO, Sales, Marketing and Power BI, the platform grown to also include brand new apps like Microsoft Flow and Power Apps, all run in the cloud and delivered as SaaS. For those on a different strategy, the option to run D365 locally is still available.

System

The cloud version of Dynamics 365 includes both system use rights as well and system operation. Hardware sizing is based on transaction volumes, estimated in the License Sizing Estimator tool included in Life Cycle Services (LCS) and combined with actual volumes in the production environment. Each D365FO production environment comes with 10 gb of data storage and for every 20 Dynamics 365 plan another 5 GB of storage is added.

In addition to the production environment, the cloud version of D365FO also holds Build and acceptance environments.
